Program Licensing and Staff:

Spring Lake Community Child Care is licensed through the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. The state has regulations governing staff qualifications, teacher to student ratio, number of square feet per child in terms of space, equipment, discipline, nutrition, health regulations, emergency care, and fire safety, to name a few. Spring Lake Community Child Care works hard to meet or exceed these standards.

Community Child Care staff consists of adults who have a degree in early childhood (or a related field) or have many years of experience. Staff must pass a background and criminal history check, be up-to-date on CPR/First Aid, and universal precautions as well as all other state regulations.

The Spring Lake Board of Education complies with all federal laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination and with all requirements and regulations of the U.S.. Department of Education.
